Very quiet, not far from center, good breakfast.
There is bad smell in the hotel, staff can´t speak English, which might be common in France.

The impression of the hotel from the outside is decidely 'dodgy', things don't improve when you meet the conciege - a dour woman who is less than welcoming, however our room was excellent - clean and comfortable, which is all we asked for! At an offer price at 49 euros a night (without breakfast, of course) it was a bargain.
Recommended but with some consideration.

The hotel is conveniently located in the town center, making it a great base for exploring the main tourist attractions. It is just a short walk away from popular places like the superb Thai restaurant Thaigan and is close to other attractions. The rooms are adorable and the beds are comfortable, providing a cozy space for a good night's sleep. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always available to assist guests. The breakfast offered is good value for money, with a variety of options to choose from.
There were some minor maintenance issues in the hotel, such as loose sink and towel rack.

Found it strange that there was no one there to check us in and we were to find the key ourselves and let ourselves in.

Someone was waiting there to check us in even though we were a few hours early (I had sent them a message about our arrival time) and then we got the cutest hotel room/ensuite bathroom out of 8 citites visited. Nantes was beautiful, but we almost didn't want to leave the hotel room!

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at a charming hotel in a classic French city. The shabby-chic decor added a unique touch to our room, and the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. The central location meant that everything we wanted to see and do was right on our doorstep. We enjoyed exploring the city's attractions, such as the river and the beautiful art. Despite the small room, we found it to be well-decorated and conducive to a relaxing city weekend. The boutique aesthetic added to the overall value of our stay. we had a good experience and would recommend this hotel for its boutique decor and convenient location.

Welcomed by very friendly helpful staff & given the room of our choice which was beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean as was all the public spaces in the hotel. Secure parking close by. Have recommended this hotel to friends.
For someone who is not too active, there was no lift, but with only four floors, this was okay.

Convenient location near city center, train station, and airport shuttle. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and clean room at a great price. Cosy room with view of cathedral. Personal and welcoming atmosphere. Good breakfast and parking options.

The service, location near the main attractions
We prefered 2 separate beds instead of one double bed.

Great stay at Hotel Abat Jour! We had a fantastic time exploring the city and this quirky little hotel was the perfect base for our trip. Our top-floor room offered an incredible view of the roofscape, and the central location meant everything we needed was right on our doorstep. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. The recently refurbished bathroom had a great shower and was spotlessly clean. The building had excellent security, with a passcode for 24-hour access. Plus, there were plenty of fantastic dining options nearby, including a fabulous wine bar and a charming Italian restaurant, all at very reasonable prices. Excellent value overall!
Recommend this hotel.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially when we had car trouble upon arrival. The location was perfect - within walking distance of the cathedral and other attractions, yet tucked away on a quiet side street. the wifi connection was the best we experienced during our entire trip.
The breakfast provided was quite basic and could have been more diverse, with a larger variety of options such as cheese, eggs, and crepes. there was no air conditioning in our room, which made it a bit uncomfortable, especially during the warmer weather.

INCREDIBLE location near everything you want to see, super friendly staff, clean and well-decorated rooms, fair prices. Plus, the view from our room was jaw-dropping! Best wifi on our trip!
